Policy Development
KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation contributes to the national and international policy development, often in collaboration with WHO and IUATLD.
We advise national governments regarding tuberculosis control strategies and facilitate or participate in national and international policy development forums.
We promote and adhere to the DOTS strategy and the Stop TB Strategy for effective tuberculosis control.
KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation facilitates and participates in important forums such as Commission Practical TB control (CPT), the Wolfheze conference, Dots Expansion Working Group (DEWG) and other Stop TB working groups that deal with policy development issues, such as, TB-HIV, Public Private Mix (PPM), DOTS plus MDR-TB, laboratory networks, Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilisation (ACSM), TB in childeren and TB and Poverty.
